Roles and Responsibilities
Configuration, Monitoring & Troubleshooting of IT network - device - solution availability & security at Web level and DDoS L7 (Load Balancers - ALB / ADC; GSLB; Web Access Firewalls; DDOS appliances; file system monitoring devices; DB Activity & Access Monitoring and Management etc using products from leading OEM s like F5, Citrix, Radware, Imperva, Fortinet, IBM etc).
Should be able to integrate network & security devices with NGSIEM, able to read & understand logs of all netwrok & security devices inodrder to troubel shoot issues quickly
Should have experience in configuring LAN Availability Technologies with strong knowledge in TCP/ IP and layers of OSI models and managing them, monitoring the logs, reporting, etc.
Timely resolution of calls / incidents related to all network issues within defined timelines.
Troubleshooting on various layers and components.
Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing appropriate policies existing in IFTAS, defining and monitoring access and ensuring tools act as per the analysed verdict.
Swift handling of Vendor Management and Asset Management.
Periodic communication with the user for regularly updating work progress onthe tickets, service requests.
Regular Patching of all provisioned network & security devices
Support Regular VA scans and its remediation based on the priorities of all provisioned network & security devices.
Network Operations - Network configuration, IP assignment, monitoring, Firmware upgrades, Manage and maintain the Network ISP services, Create & maintain VLAN, Network segments, Fault handling and escalation (identifying and responding to faults on network & network devices, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, vendors handling escalation through to resolution).
Network equipment testing and maintaining audit.
Creation and Maintenance of blue-print document for NOC & SOC covering the processes and procedures.
Provide 24x7 data centre and its relevant operational related support (relevant data centre, network, security related support)
Desired Candidate Profile
- Any Graduate in Any Specialization - Minimum 60%
- Candidate must have 6-10 years of total experience, Minimum 4 Years of experience working in Network & Security domain
- Troubleshooting WAF & DDOS L7 / LB / GSLB issues and creating Security plans for Anti Malware, Anti BoT, Anti APT (Low and Slow attacks), techniques for protecting DB information.
- Deep understanding & Configurations of Network & security devices like firewalls, WAFs, L3 & L2 switches, LBs.
- Hands-on Network security technologies (DDoS Volumetric and Layer 7 attacks, OWASP)
- Good to Have:
1. DAM (DataBase Activity and Access Monitoring and Management (Eg. Imperva or Guardium). (Candidates with this knowledge would be PREFERRED)
2. Good understanding of DBs (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Hadoop (Cloudera, GridGain Ignite). ICSA or Equivalent certification (WAF or Anti Malware or Advance Persistent Threat)
IDSC: Imperva Data Security Certification or Equivalent
IT Graduates / Post Graduation in IT
- CCNA Certification is preferred.
- CCNP / Any other security certification preferred

IDRBT is an autonomous centre for development and research in Banking Technology, established by the Reserve Bank of India. NABARD is an apex development bank in India, focused on policy, planning and operations in the agriculture and other economic activities in rural India.
Services being rendered by IFTAS include
(a) INFINET, the country-wide secure information technology network.0
(b) SFMS, India’s backbone inter-bank Financial Messaging Platform used for RTGS, NEFT, etc.
(c) IBCC, the most trusted cloud platform for banks in India.
The mandate of IFTAS is to provide essential IT-related services, presently being offered by the IDRBT, to
the Reserve Bank of India, banks and financial institutions, effectively and efficiently. As these services
constitute the backbone of the payment systems operations in India, IFTAS is geared up to provide
uninterrupted 24 x 7 high-quality IT-related services to the Indian Banking and Financial Sector.
IFTAS has been incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 as a non-profit company, reflecting the intention and mandate of the organization as an enabler and facilitator of automation. NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India), which was formed out of IDRBT under a similar initiative in 2009, has gone on to revolutionize the Payments space in India, with successful implementation of RuPay, IMPS, ACH and other services.
With INFINET and SFMS in steady state operations, IFTAS is focused on expanding its Cloud Services to include the entire gamut of Banking applications, targeted at players in the entire banking sector.
